Ricardo de Godoi Mattos Ferreira

Graduated in Biological Sciences from the University of São Paulo (2002), Specialist in Bioinformatics (National Laboratory of Scientific Computing, 2002) and Doctor of Science (Biology of the Pathogen-Host Relationship) from the University of São Paulo (2008). He has experience in the areas of Genetics, Bioinformatics, Epidemiology, Digital Health and Data Science, with emphasis on Human and Medical Genetics, working mainly on the following topics: population genetics, Amazonia, genetics, epidemiological genetics and association, linkage and analysis studies of complex segregation. He has been a Public Health Researcher at Fiocruz since 2012 and was vice coordinator (2012-2014), coordinator (2014-2018) at Fiocruz Rondônia and General Coordinator of Strategic Planning at Fiocruz (2018-2024). He served as Deputy Coordinator of Fiocruz's Information and Communication Technology Governance Committee (2018-2022) and in Fiocruz's Covid-19 Pandemic Coordination Group (2020-2022). Member of Fiotec Council (2019-2020) and President of Fiotec Council (2021-2023). Member of the Management Committee of the National Institute of Epidemiology of the Western Amazon (2017-). Member of the National Comitee for Digital Health (2023-). Member of the Brazilian Funding Authority for Studies and Projects - FINEP (2023-).
