Birthplace: Brazil

Bachelors degree in Agronomy (2004), Masters degree in Agronomy (2007), and Doctorate in Agronomy with a focus on Plant Protection (2009) from São Paulo State University (UNESP). Conducted postdoctoral research at UNESP (2011) and at the Natural Products Utilization Research Unit (NPURU) of the USDA in the USA (2015). He is a Professor in the Department of Plant Protection at the School of Agricultural Sciences at UNESP. He is member of the Brazilian Weed Science Society (SBCPD) since 2002, he served as Vice-President of SBCPD for two terms (2019-2020 and 2021-2022). He was President of the Foundation for Agricultural and Forestry Studies and Research (FEPAF) from 2017 to 2020 and Vice-Dean of the School of Agricultural Sciences (FCA-UNESP). He is currently the Dean of the School of Agricultural Sciences (FCA-UNESP) and a member of the Agro-Sustainable Scientific Council (CCAS). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
