Sérgio Alves de Carvalho

Agronomist, PhD in Agronomy (Crop Science) by Federal University of Lavras (1994) and currently scientific researcher VI of the Agronomic Institute of Campinas (IAC), acting on APTA Citrus Sylvio Moreira Center (CAPT-SM) since 1993 as a researcher, advisor of undergraduate and graduate students and professor (Citrus Course, Distance Citrus Course and Course of Disease of Citrus) .Co-adviser at postgraduate level on Federal University of Viçosa, Fundecitrus (Citrus Defense Fund) and Esalq / USP and collaborator of courses Federal University of São Carlos (undergraduate and postgraduate) and the Biological Institute (postgraduate). Has experience in Agronomy with emphasis on Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology and Propagation, acting on the following topics: citrus, propagation, viruses, indexing and clonal cleaning, orange Pera, varietal resistance, citric canker, fresh citrus fruit production under protected environment.
