Bachelor's in Biological Sciences from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1995), Master's in Biochemistry from Universidade Federal de São Paulo (1998) and doctorate in Medical Sciences from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2003), experienced a postdoc position at Portland State University (2003-2005) and at Carlos Chagas Institute (Fiocruz PR) from 2007-2008. Alexandre Costa was a Research Assistant at Portland State University (2005-2007). From 2009-2011, was Production Manager at the Instituto de Biologia Molecular do Parana (IBMP), establishing the production of molecular biology reagents under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). He was then Technical Project Manager at the R&D Department of IBMP (2011-2014), and today is senior researcher at Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) working in Nanobiotechnology and Prototyping.
