Professor in the Faculty of Physiotherapy at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Graduated in Physiotherapy from Universidade Estadual Paulista, Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP), improvement in Intensive Care from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), master's degree in Experimental Pathophysiology from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (USP) (2005) and doctorate in Medical Sciences from USP (2009) both supported by FAPESP. She worked as a professor in the Department of Physiotherapy at UNESP (2012) during which a scientific internship was held with the Research Group on Cardiovascular and Respiratory Rehabilitation at KU Leuven (Belgium). She completed a postdoctoral position at the Department of Clinical Medicine at USP (2014) and at the Laboratory of Exercise Sciences at Universidade Federal Fluminense (2018) under the supervision of Prof. Antônio Claúdio Lucas da Nobrega. She received several national and international awards. She has clinical experience in the field of Physiotherapy, with an emphasis on Cardiorespiratory rehabilitation. Areas of interest and scientific performance: Evaluation and Intervention in Physiotherapy and Cardiorespiratory Rehabilitation, Physiology and Physiopathology, Cardiorespiratory and Exercise and Immunology of Exercise.
