She holds a BA in Social Sciences from the University of São Paulo - USP (2003), an MA in Sociology from USP -FAPESP (2006) and a PhD in Philosophy from USP-FAPESP (2011), with an internship at the University of Oxford [2009]. She did post-doctoral research in Philosophy at UFRGS [2011] with the support of CNPq. She is currently an associate professor at the Sociology Department and the Graduate Program in Sociology at UFRGS. She is coordinator of the Brazilian Center for Durkheimian Studies and associate researcher at the British Centre for Durkheimian Studies, University of Oxford. Together with Rafael Benthien, she coordinates the collection "Biblioteca Durkheimiana", published by the Editora da Universidade de São Paulo (EDUSP). She is a researcher at GETSS - Grupo de Estudos em Teoria e Subjetividade (UFPE) and currently coordinates the GT Teoria Sociológica da Sociedade Brasileira de Sociologia. Her main areas of work are Sociological Theory, Sociology of Morality and, more recently, she has been developing research on gender and sexuality, and on the relations between Sociology and Psychoanalysis.
