PhD in Design from the School of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo (FAU/USP, 2014), holds a degree in Visual Communication from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP, 1982) and a Masters in Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of São Paulo (FAU/USP, 2000). Currently, works as art director of Studio Fernanda Sarmento. She was a teacher in FACAMP (Faculdades de Campinas) between 2005 e 2015 and in FAAP between 1994-1995. Was founder and art director of the Arc Design Magazine. Author of the graphic design project and design direction for "A Revista", ", a experimental magazine published by Takano Printing Company. Worked, as well, as graphic designer in Domus magazine, in Milan/Italy. Her master is about the editorial design in Brazil, in SENHOR Magazine. Since 2007 she has specialized in issues related to design and sustainability. Investigates the possibilities of interaction between the field of design and the sustainable development in the Amazon. The doctoral research theme is: Design for sociobiodiversity: prospects for the sustainable use of rubber in the Tapajós National Forest.
