Luiz Alexandre Campos

I am a full professor at the Institute of Biosciences at UFRGS, working in the Department of Zoology. My specialization is entomology, primarily focusing on insects' taxonomy and phylogenetic systematics, particularly Hemiptera (Pentatomidae). My research projects explore this group's classification, morphology, evolution, and diversity, contributing to the understanding of their evolutionary relationships and geographical distribution. I am also dedicated to expanding knowledge about their ecology, integrating scientific practice with biodiversity conservation to promote greater environmental awareness and conservation efforts.
