Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the State University of Ceará (UECE) in 1998. Master's degree in 2004 and a PhD in 2007 in Animal Reproduction from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP, Jaboticabal). He has been Full Professor at the Federal Rural University of Amazonia (UFRA). Visiting associate professor at "The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center" (2014-2015). Coordinator (2010-2013) and vice coordinator (2017-2022) of the Postgraduate Program in Animal Health and Production in the Amazon (PPGSPAA-UFRA). Currently, is a research fellowship from National Council of Technological and Scientific Development (CNPq - PQ 1D). He has experience in Veterinary Medicine, with emphasis on in the area of animal physiology, primate reproduction, working mainly on the following subjects: wild animals, primates, ultrasound and animal physiology.
