Holds a Bachelor's degree and a teaching qualification in Biological Sciences from the University of Campinas (1998), a Masters degree in Psychology from the University of São Paulo (2005), a Masters in Education from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom (2020), and a PhD from the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom (2025). She has experience in the evaluation and monitoring of educational programmes, professional learning, and continuous teacher development. She also has a background in Experimental Behaviour Analysis, with an emphasis on Learned Helplessness, Marine Ecology, and Biology teaching. Her work has focused on topics such as: fauna associated with phytal habitats, marine ecology, differentiated teaching and learning strategies in science education, classroom assessment strategies, content adaptation for speakers of other languages, evaluation and supervision strategies for primary and secondary school teachers, and curriculum design in science from early years to secondary education.
