Full Professor (Professor Titular in the Brazilian system) at the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM) and Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Chemistry (PPGQ). He holds a degree in Chemistry Teaching from the Federal University of Piauí (1997), a master's degree (2001), and a doctorate (2005) in Physical Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry of São Carlos, USP. He began his career as a high school teacher (19951999) and as a substitute professor at UFPI (19981999) in Teresina, Piauí. Since 2002, he has been a professor at UFAM, engaging in teaching, research, extension, and university management. His research focuses on Physical Chemistry/Electrochemistry and Materials Science, emphasizing alternative energy, fuel cells, dye-sensitized solar cells using pigments from Amazonian plants, and electrocatalysis, with numerous publications in indexed journals. He established the first electrochemistry and energy laboratory in the Western Amazon, supported by projects funded by CNPq, CAPES, and FAPEAM. Over the years, he has trained and qualified specialized professionals, supervising undergraduate and graduate students. He has been a member of the Graduate Program in Materials Engineering and currently chairs the Graduate Program in Chemistry (PPGQ/UFAM). He has served two terms as Head of the Chemistry Department, Coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chair of the CCCMS/ICE, Member of the CPA/UFAM, and Director of the Institute of Exact Sciences (ICE) at UFAM (20172021), during which he was an ex officio member of the university's higher councils. He remains the ICE faculty representative on CONSUNI. His career is characterized by a strong commitment to scientific and educational advancement in the Amazon region. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
