PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of São Paulo. Metallurgical engineer (1995) and master in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (1999). Has 28 years experience in the field of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, with emphasis on engineering applications of carbon steels, low and medium alloy and high alloy steels, as well as in foundry of gray, compact graphite and nodular cast iron. Great experience in production of aluminum and its alloys, as well as foundries of aluminum and copper alloys. Specialist in special weldings for preventive and corrective maintenance in the chemical, petrochemical, pulp and paper, mining, steel, energy and transport industries. Specialist in corrosion of metals and kinetics of oxide formation. Managed the CBMM´s technical program for the development of active Nb-based oxides for application in anodes and cathodes of lithium-ion batteries. He currently serves as Managing Director of Hyundai Welding for Latin America. Is professor since 2014 of the preparatory courses for certification "Certified Welding Inspector" (CWI) and "International Welding Engineer" (IWE) of ABS in partnership with the "International Institute of Welding" (IIW), teaching the following subjects: Physical Metallurgy, Binary and Ternary Phase Diagrams, Heat Treatment of Steels - TTT and CCT curves, The Heat Affected Zone (HAZ), Corrosion Resistant Alloys, Duplex Stainless Steels - Production and Welding, Schaeffler and DeLong Diagrams, HSLA steels, TRIP steels, TWIP and Maraging Steels, Mechanical Testing in Welded Joints, Cracks in Welded Joints, Structural Steels, Steels for Cryogenic and Low-Temperature Service, Creep Resistant Steels, Cast Steels and Cast Irons, Copper and Copper Alloys, Nickel and Nickel Alloys, Aluminium and Magnesium and Alloys, Titanium, Tantalum and Zirconium and Alloys, Structure and Properties of Pure Metals, Phase Diagrams and Metallic Alloys, Ferro-Carbon Alloys, Discontinuities in Welding, Quality Assurance and Control in Welded Manufacturing to ISO Standards, Behavior of Structural Steel in Fusion Welding, Fundamentals of Heat Transfer - Welding Heat Flow, Stainless Steels and Steels for High Temperatures.
