Adriana Alonso Novais graduated in veterinary medicine in 1989 from the Universidade Federal Fluminense, Rio de Janeiro and completed his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho, UNESP / Jaboticabal in 2003, with emphasis on the study of blood groups of domestic and wild dogs. During the Master's she did an internship at the immunohematology and serology laboratory of Michigan State University, USA. Subsequently, she did an upgrade in cardiology at the University of Davis, California, and at the veterinary hospital blood bank of the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada. She is currently coordinator of Veterinary Medicine school, at the Institute of Health Sciences from Federal University of Mato Grosso - Campus Sinop, and teacher of small animal medicine.
