Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Instituto de Biologia (IB) (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal) Birthplace: Brazil
I have a degree in Biomedicine from Unifesp (2001), and a master's degree (2004) and a doctorate (2008) in Cellular and Structural Biology from Unicamp. Since 2008, I have been a Professor at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Federal University of Uberlândia, where I have taught Cellular Biology and Embryology for the Biomedicine course and other courses, in addition to having acted as an advisor in the Master's degree in Applied Cellular and Structural Biology at the same Institute between 2009 and 2024. My research experience is with the influence of physiological and pathological factors such as aging, diabetes and nutritional intervention on chromatin, epigenetic and nuclear organization, a subject with which I have been working since my master's degree, and about which I have published in international journals. I have research links with groups from the institution itself, from Unicamp, and from ESALQ-USP, and with a research group from the University of Edinburgh where I carried out part of my doctorate.
