She holds a degree in Nursing and Obstetrics from the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro (UFTM), a master's degree in Experimental and Comparative Pathology from the University of São Paulo, and a doctorate in Health Sciences, specializing in Pathology from UFTM (2005). Currently, she is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Nursing (FEN) at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), where she teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses, as well as supervises students in scientific initiation, master's, and doctoral programs. She served as the editor of UFG's Electronic Nursing Journal from 2017 to 2022 and works as an Ad Hoc consultant for journals in her field. She leads the Center for Studies and Research in Human Health Care with a Clinical Approach (NECAC), is a member of the Brazilian Nursing Association-GO (ABEN-GO), and coordinates the League of Comprehensive Women's Health Care (LISAM). She has experience in Health Sciences and Nursing with an emphasis on Maternal and Child Health, focusing primarily on topics such as sexually transmitted infections, breast cancer, cervical cancer, care for women during the pregnancy-puerperal cycle, depression, anxiety, violence against women, racial inequity, obstetric violence, and gynecological, obstetric, and neonatal complications.
