Eduardo Perico

I have degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1985), master's degree in Genetics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1990) and Ph.D in Ecology from the University of São Paulo (1997). Full Professor at the University of Vale do Taquari, linked to the Biological Sciences Course and working in courses in the health area. I am a permanent professor at the Graduate Program in Environment and Development (PPGAD), at the master's and Ph. D levels. Within PPGAD I work in two research areas, Ecology and Social and Environmental Problems. In ecology, I develop research related to landscape ecology, especially on changes in landscapes and their influences on fauna and flora, as well as on the causes and social effects of these changes on human populations. In socio-environmental problems I work with environmental determinants in health, with an emphasis on statistics, epidemiology and spatio-temporal analysis of chronic diseases. I coordinate the Ecology and Evolution Laboratory, and have experience in training human resources at all academic levels, scientific initiation, specialization, master's and Ph.D. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
