Bachelor's Degree in Physics with specialization in basic research (1998) and obtained a doctorate in science in Physics (2004) at the Institute of Physics. Did postdoctoral work at the Institute of Physics of USP (2004-2010), Instituto Mediterraneo de Estudios Avanzado in Spain (2007), and Imperial College (2015-2016). He is currently assistant professor at the Federal University of São Paulo, Campus Diadema. Carries out research in nonlinear dynamic systems with emphasis on network synchronizations, homoclinic systems, bifurcation theory, excitable behavior and electronic circuits.
