Completed a Master's degree in Biological Sciences (Genetics) at USP in 2005 and a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (Genetics) at USP in 2009, including a research internship at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA, Argentina). Served as a visiting scholar at Columbia University (New York, USA) in 2020. Has experience in the field of Genetics, with an emphasis on Evolution, primarily focusing on diversification studies in open vegetation areas. Currently serves as an Associate Professor Level 4 in the Department of Biology at the Center for Human and Biological Sciences (CCHB), Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), Sorocaba campus. Has previously served as Course Coordinator, Chair of the Curriculum Development Committee, and Head of Department.
