He graduated in Medicine from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas. While still at the undergraduate level, he carried out a Scientific Initiation at the State University of Campinas (2002-2005), receiving a scholarship from FAPESP. Dr. Coelho-Filho completed his medical residency in Clinical Medicine at the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas in 2005 and in Cardiology at the State University of Campinas in 2007. He also performed and advanced imaging training in Cardiac MRI and CT at Instituto do Coração InCor - FMUSP. Subsequently, Dr. Coelho-Filho completed a 3-year research fellowship in Cardiovascular Imaging at Brigham and Women's Hospital-Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. In March 2011, he graduated from the Harvard School of Public Health, obtaining a "Master in Public Health" (MPH) degree from the Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, USA. In 2013, in Brazil, que obtained his Ph.D. in Cardiovascular Medicine from the State University of Campinas. Dr. Coelho-Filho has contributed to more than 75 original articles, mainly about Cardiovascular Disease, in high-impact peer-reviewed journals. He also shares his expertise on the editorial teams for two major medical journals and as a manuscript reviewer for more than 15 medical journals. He is currently a section editor of the AHA Circulation Imaging Journal. He also sits on national and international scientific committees of prestigious societies, including the São Paulo Society of Cardiology (SOCESP), SBC, and SCMR. Dr. Coelho-Filho has been a caring mentor for several graduate students since 2013. He is heavily involved in medical teaching at the State University of Campinas, assuming responsibility for the clinical research postgraduate program in medical science since 2019 and directorship of the fellowship program in cardiovascular diseases at UNICAMP since 2020. He also teaches several courses to medical students, in addition to bedside supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows. In addition, Dr. Coelho-Filho is currently the PI of CNPq- (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development) and FAPESP- (The São Paulo Research Foundation) funded studies. He is currently an Assistant Professor Doctor (MS3.1) of the Discipline of Cardiology at the Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medical Sciences, State University of Campinas (UNICAMP).
