She holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (1997), a Master's degree in Sciences from the University of São Paulo (1999), became a mother to Cíntia in 2003, and completed her PhD in Veterinary Sciences at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (2004). She conducted postdoctoral training in Immunoparasitology at the Biotechnology Center/Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2007). She became a mother to Pedro in 2008, and in 2012, she joined the Federal University of Pará, Castanhal campus, as a professor of Veterinary Epidemiology. At this institution, she has coordinated the Informatics Laboratory, served as Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Animal Health in the Amazon, and is currently the coordinator of the Laboratory of Epidemiology and Geoprocessing, a role she still holds today. In 2020, she became the mother of Michel and Liandra, and in 2022, she completed a Specialization in Geoprocessing and Environmental Analysis at UFPA. She is a member of the Amazon Initiative for Tropical Bite Investigation (IAIMT) and works in the fields of Epidemiology and Public Health, mainly focusing on participatory epidemiology and risk factors.
