George Lima has received his BSc. from Federal University of Bahia (1993), his MSc. form State University of Campinas (1996) and his Ph.D. from University of York (2003), all of which in Computer Science. Since 2004 he has held a permanent position at Federal University of Bahia, where he has played several roles such as Head of Department, Head of Graduate Program. During 2015-2016 George was in sabbatical period at Federal University of Pernambuco. Currently, he is a member of two PhD programs (Mecatronics and Computer Science) and leads the Ster research group. His main research interests include several topics in the field of real-time systems, such as scheduling, measurement-based timing analysis, fault tolerance and operating system.
