Eduardo de Medeiros Ferraz

Graduated in Biological Sciences from the Universidade Federal de São Carlos (1990) and MA and Ph.D. in Aquaculture from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (1999 and 2009). He is currently a research scientist at the Institute of Fisheries, with experience in Aquaculture and Fisheries Resources, emphasis in physiology of reproduction. Develops research papers on the following topics: Fish Marine and freshwater, especially with advanced techniques for maturation and reproduction of fish in captivity, emphasis on production of seabass, mullets, pacu, curimbatá, etc. Currently developing projects in recirculating aquaculture systems, with emphasis on producing organisms in the laboratory. He currently responds as surrogate Director General of the Fisheries Institute (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
