He holds a degree in Technological Chemistry from the State University of Campinas (2000), a master's degree in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas (2003) and a PhD in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas (2007). He is currently the ful Professor and Pro-Rector of Research and Postgraduate Studies at the Federal Institute of Espírito Santo, and Vice-Secretary of the Brazilian Chemical Society - Reginal Espírito Santo. He was Coordinator of the Forum of Pro-Rectors of Research, Postgraduate Studies and Innovation (FORPOG) of CONIF (2020 and 2021), and Deputy Coordinator of the Postgraduate Studies of the same Forum (June/2024 to June/2025). He has experience in the Chemistry area, with emphasis on Photodynamic Therapy, Nano and Microparticulate Formulations and Chemistry Teaching, working mainly on the following topics: photophysics and photochemistry of photosensitizers, photooxidation of biomolecules, photooxidation mechanism, preparation and characterization of polymeric nanospheres, optimization of nano and microparticulate formulations via factorial design, and development of didactic sequences and educational products linking nanotechnological concepts to chemistry content.
