I graduate as Bachelor in Chemistry from University of São Paulo (2000), master's and PhD in Chemistry from Universidade de São Paulo (2003). I spent one year as a post-doc fellow at USP (2007-2008) and one year as a post-doc at the University of Victoria, Canada (2008-2009). Nowadays I am an Associate Professor at the Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora, Brazil, since 2010. I am a effective member of the Sociedade Brasileira de Química (SBQ) since 2010, and served as Phys-Chem Division Head and vice-Head in 2018-2022. I am experienced in Chemistry, focusing on Spectroscopy, working on Raman spectroscopy, and surface plasmon enhanced spectroscopies, such as SERS (Surface-enhanced Raman scattering), SPR (surface plasmon resonance) and SEF (Surface-enhanced Fluorescence), both from a fundamental point of view, as much as in the optimization of substrates to achieve high performance of the above techniques.
