Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). Campus de São Paulo. Instituto de Física Teórica (IFT)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Adjunct Professor at the Federal University of Pará.Has BS degree in Physics from the Federal University of Pará (1997), a MS degree in Physics from the Institute of Theoretical Physics at the Universidade Estadual Paulista-UNESP (1999), in the area of Quantum Field Theory and String Theory. Has a PhD degree in Physics from the University of Maryland at College Park (2007), in which he participated in the development of computational simulations of head-on collisions of Black Holes in vacuum, using adaptive mesh refinement techniques, as well as perturbative methods for extracting the resulting gravitational radiation. This work was performed at the Goddard Space Flight Center - NASA, in Greenbelt, MD.Held a postdoctoral research position at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (2007-2010), at the Joint Center of Earth Systems and Technology (JCET), investigating the issue of the concentration of atmospheric gases, particularly greenhouse gases, especially Carbon Dioxide, through thermal infrared remote sensing using the AIRS, CrIS, and IASI instruments, as well as studying interannual variations in atmospheric and surface properties with such instruments. Was a visiting professor at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) - Belém/PA - at the Environment Center (NUMA) in 2010 and 2011, where he worked in the area of Remote Sensing. Held again a postdoctoral research position at UMBC-JCET (2012-2014) working in the area of remote sensing of the atmosphere, both tropospheric (satellites) and Boundary Layer (using LIDARs to estimate aerosols, clouds, wind, and turbulence).Since 2014, he has been a Professor at the Institute of Geosciences at the Federal University of Pará, at the Faculty of Meteorology, where he was a member of the Postgraduate Program in Environmental Sciences, and the Postgraduate Program in Risk and Disaster Management, carrying out research in Sensing Remote from the Atmosphere and Soil, and emission of greenhouse gases emitted by solid waste. He is currently the coordinator of the Interdisciplinary Trópico em Movimento Program, linked to the UFPA's president's office, where he coordinates a training project for family agriculture and institutional markets, and carries out research on gas emissions from landfills, in collaboration with the Public Ministry of the State of Pará .
