Milene Soares Cara

Postdoctoral student at the Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade de São Paulo (FAU-USP) where develops research with the Museu da Casa Brasileira (MCB). She is a PhD, a master and graduated from FAU-USP, an architect and urban planner. She is also a professor of postgraduate at the Faculdade Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP), Istituto Europeo di Design (IED-SP), Centro Universitário Senac and Coordinator of the Postgraduate Course in Commercial Architecture at the Senac Tito unit . Curator, art critic, design and creative director; also collaborates with periodicals, magazines and books dedicated to architecture, art, design and fashion. She was a research fellow in the first edition of MASP Pesquisa, a program research in art promoted by the Museum between 2016 and 2017. She is the author of the book 'From Industrial Design to Design: A Critical Bibliography for Discipline' (São Paulo: Blücher, 2010). He joined the jury of the 30th. and 29th. MCB Design Awards in 2016 and 2015, coordinated the category of published and unpublished works of the 31st Design Prize MCB in 2017. Her thesis 'Dissemination and Construction of Design in Brazil: the role of MASP' received Honorable Mention in the 27th.
