He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from FEI University Center (1994), a Master's degree in Space Engineering and Technology from the National Institute for Space Research (1997), a PhD in Space Engineering and Technology from the National Institute for Space Research (2002) and postdoctoral by the Center for Applied Space Technology and Microgravity (Bremen-Germany). He is currently senior engineer at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) and professor at the Post-Graduate Course in Space Engineering and Technology at INPE. He has experience in Aerospace Engineering, with emphasis in Space Mechanics and Control, acting mainly in the following subjects: Astrodynamics, Modeling of the Gravitational Field around Asteroids, Orbital Disturbances, Orbital Maneuvers, Trajectory Optimization, Multi-Objective Optimization, Satellite Attitude and Orbit Control, Optimal Control, Rendezvous and Docking Maneuvers, Formations and Constellations of Satellites, Space Systems and Space Robotics.
