Full Professor, CNPq Research Productivity Fellow, level 1B and member of the CNPq Advisory Committee, has a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1994), a Master's degree (1997) and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from University of São Paulo (2002), both under the supervision of Prof. Dr. José Maria Sáiz Jabardo. He completed his Post-Doctorate with a FAPESP scholarship in 2004 at the São Carlos-USP School of Engineering. In August 2007, he began new post-doctorate at the Heat and Mass Transfer Laboratory at the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne in Switzerland. He carries out several research studies at the Energy, Thermal Systems and Nanotechnology Laboratory at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Federal University of Uberlândia. He has experience in the following areas: Nanofluids, Heat Exchangers, Single-Phase Flow of refrigerants; Biphasic Flow, mainly associated with phase change; Refrigeration systems; Controls applied to refrigeration and air conditioning systems; Convective boiling and nucleated boiling. He has projects in the areas of nanotechnology applied to Thermal Systems and in the areas of new refrigerant and natural fluids applied to refrigeration and air conditioning. He was a visiting professor at the University of Leeds with a project funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2015/16. Chair of ENCIT 2010 (400 registered), Co-Chair of CONEM 2014 (820 registered) and Chair of COBEM 2019 (1200 registered), all held in Uberlândia.
