Maria Rita de Cáscia Barreto Netto

He is currently an environmental analyst at the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation, located at the Center for Research and Conservation of Continental Aquatic Biodiversity. Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from Universidade Federal Fluminense (1997), Master?s in Biological Sciences (Genetics) from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2000) and PhD in Biological Sciences (Genetics) from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2005) . He has experience in Genetics, with emphasis on Conservation Genetics, working mainly on the following topics: conservation genetics, endangered fish, Rivulids, Threatened Ichthyofauna of the São Francisco River Basin.
