Gustavo is an executive with over 25 years of experience in agribusiness in Latin America, specializing in biotechnology and crop genetic improvement. His career includes roles at major global companies such as Syngenta, Nidera, and Monsanto, where he successfully led teams and managed multimillion-dollar budgets.At Syngenta, he served as Director of Seed Development for the Americas, overseeing teams in Argentina, Chile, and Mexico, and managing a budget of approximately USD 40 million. His focus was on developing superior germplasm solutions for soybeans, corn, and sunflower, as well as restructuring operations to align with regional goals and increase efficiency. Among his key achievements were the creation of a new leadership team, the optimization of operations, and the launch of enhanced products, resulting in significant cost savings an higher revenues.Previously, as Global Pipeline Delivery Director at Syngenta, he led the introduction of innovative technologies and improvements in seed production logistics, generating millions in savings in the first year.
