PhD in History from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-2012), holds a master's degree in Social History from the University of São Paulo (USP-2000), postgraduate studies in Baroque Art and Culture from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP-1999 ) and a degree in Social Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP-1995). He is currently a professor at the Museu de Arte Sacra de São Paulo (MAS), at the São Judas Tadeu University (USJT) and at the Centro Universitário Assunção (Unifai).Since 2014 he has been a visiting professor at the Museu de Arte Sacra de São Paulo (MAS) to teach classes and courses on the history of art and culture in Brazil. In MAS he writes handouts for courses and cultural trips that he teaches: Baroque, Neoclassical, Minas Gerais (18th century), Monarchy and Empire in Rio de Janeiro (19th century), Art and Culture in America.At Unifai he is also a professor of postgraduate studies in 1 - History of Africa: Education, Culture and International Relations; 2 - History, Civilization and Medieval Thought; 3 - History: Art, Heritage and Culture.In 2017, he created the Marcos Horácio Channel, with the support of EDA Filmes, to produce content on Baroque Art, Sacred Art, Symbolism and Allegory and book reviews. Still in 2017, it develops the Cult Channel, in partnership with Qualifica EAD, which is an online platform for videos on Education, Art and Culture. This project is in line with the actions of Culturarte: Culture, Thinking and Languages, also created in the same year. This company develops cultural projects, online courses and teaching material for classroom and virtual courses. He is a founding partner and one of the directors of the company Culturarte.In 2017 he was curator and author of the catalog of the exhibition Doctors and Doctors of the Church: the Beauty of the Testimony of Life and the Word that took place at the Museum of Sacred Art of São Paulo (MAS).Writes articles for Education magazines and scientific articles for presentation at seminars and congresses. He supervised monographs for completion of specialization and undergraduate courses and participates in master's and doctoral boards. Has experience in Education, History and Sociology, acting on the following subjects: Art and Language, Art Teaching, Art History in Brazil; History of Baroque and Rococo; Neoclassical, Empire and 19th Century in Brazil; Theory of Culture; Historical Heritage; History of Image Production; Theory of Communication and Brazilian Socio-Economic and Political Reality.In 2015 he was elected the best teacher of Social Communication in the Southeast Region by IMPRENSA Editorial (Revista Imprensa / Portal Imprensa).
