Cíntia Soares is a Level E Research Productivity Fellow - CA EQ, with an outstanding academic and professional trajectory. Academic identifiers: ORCID 0000-0002-4411-8305, Web of Science Researcher ID: A-1651-2013, Scopus Author ID: 7101637418.She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Fundação Universidade Regional de Blumenau (1998), a master's degree (2000), and a Ph.D. (2005) in Chemical Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Currently, she is an Associate Professor Level IV in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Food Engineering at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and a Permanent Faculty Member of the Graduate Program in Chemical Engineering at the same institution.She has held various academic leadership roles, including Vice-Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Chemical Engineering at UFSC (20122015) and Coordinator of the same program (20152020), during which she also served on the Graduate Chamber. She was a Member of the Administrative Chamber of the Technological Center and is currently President of the Internal Selection and Monitoring Committee for PIBIC at the Technological Center of UFSC. Additionally, she is a Member of the Superior Council of ABEQ (Brazilian Association of Chemical Engineering) and a Member of the Directive Committee of ABPOA (Brazilian Association of Advanced Oxidative Processes).Regarding her editorial activities, she is a Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering, an Editor of Chemical Engineering Science, Chemical Engineering Journal, Chemical Engineering Journal Advances, and an Associate Editor of the Brazilian Journal of Chemical Engineering.Her research experience covers both fundamental and applied areas of Chemical Engineering, with an emphasis on: Computational fluid dynamics and numerical simulation of chemical and biotechnological processes; Multiphase flows; Microfluidics; Mathematical modeling and numerical simulation in chemical and biotechnological processes; Advanced oxidation processes in microreactors; Application of microreactors in the synthesis of high-value-added compounds, using both chemical and enzymatic routes.Her current research work has significantly contributed to the advancement of sustainable and innovative technologies, with a strong impact on the chemical and biotechnological industries. Moreover, she is a frequent participant in national and international events, a scientific congress organizer, and a mentor of several undergraduate, master's, and doctoral research projects.
