gTercio Ambrizzi completed his doctorate in Meteorology from the University of Reading, England, in 1993. He was director of the Institute of Astronomy, Geophysics and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of São Paulo (Period 2009-2013) and a full professor of the Department of Atmospheric Sciences in full dedication at IAG/USP. He was head of the Department of Atmospheric Sciences in two periods (1997/1999 and 2001/2005). Member of the IAG Research Commission and Department Council. He was chief editor of the Brazilian Journal of Meteorology (period 2002 - 2006), linked to the Brazilian Society of Meteorology. He published hundreds of articles in specialized journals and work on event proceedings. It has several published book chapters and books. He guided several master's dissertations, doctoral and postdoctoral theses, as well as guiding scientific initiation work in the area of #8203;#8203;Geosciences. Has coordinated national and international research projects. It works in the area of #8203;#8203;atmospheric sciences, with emphasis on dynamic meteorology, numerical modeling of the atmosphere and climate change. In his professional activities he interacted with numerous collaborators in co-authorities of scientific work. Coordinator of the Climate Study Group - GREC at IAG/USP. Main author of one of the regional climate change reports commissioned by the Ministry of Environment in a partnership between USP and CPTEC/INPE and IPCC Impact Report in 2007 and 2013. Suitable to coordinate the working group 1 - Scientific Basis of Climate Change Climate Change by the Federal Government (Interministerial Ordinance of Science and Technology and Technology) composing the Scientific Committee. He is coordinator of Climati Crisis and Disasters Resilience Research Center) Research Center for resilience to USP's crises and climate disasters. Full Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences (ABC). He is currently the director of the USP Institute of Energy and Environment.
