Tiago Tranjan holds a Bachelor's degree in Pure Mathematics from the University of São Paulo (1999), a Master's degree in Philosophy from the University of São Paulo (2005), and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of São Paulo (2010). Since 2011, he has been working as a professor in the Department of Philosophy at the Federal University of São Paulo and in the Postgraduate Program in Philosophy at the same institution. For the past two years, he has been coordinating the publication of the Brazilian edition of the works of L. Wittgenstein, by Editora Fósforo. In addition to his work with the Austrian philosopher, his research focuses on logic and the philosophy of mathematics, with an emphasis on the importance of historical aspects for the correct treatment of central issues in these fields. In recent years, he has published works on ancient mathematics, with translation and commentary on the works of Archimedes, taken as a starting point for understanding broader epistemological themes, and on the transformations of 19th-century mathematics, with translation and commentary on the works of B. Bolzano. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
