He has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pernambuco (1997), a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Pernambuco (2001) and a doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (2005). He is currently a Full Professor at the Federal University of the São Francisco Valley (Univasf). He is a member of Univasf's Electrical Engineering Undergraduate Program (CENEL) and a permanent lecturer in Univasf's Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Health and Biological Sciences (CPGCSB). He has collaborations with researchers from national and international institutions, such as the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), the Federal University of ABC (UFABC), the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), INESC-TEC in Portugal, Michigan Technological University in the USA and Imperial College London in England. He has experience in the areas of Telecommunications, Computer Science, Digital Agriculture and Bioengineering, working mainly on the following subjects: electrophysiological signal analysis, transforms applied to digital signals, signal and image processing, machine learning and optical spectroscopy.
