Frederico Jose Andries Lopes

PhD in Mathematics Education from UNESP / Rio Claro (2002), with thesis on the History of Science. Graduated in Mathematics from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF - 1997). Associate Professor IV at the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT), where he leads the TRAMA Research Group, dedicated to research in the areas of history of mathematics and mathematics education. Translator of primary mathematical sources written mainly in Latin. Published books on the educational use of programming languages, Latin grammar and the history of mathematics.
