Carlos Jacinto da Silva is Graduate at Physics from Universidade Federal de Alagoas (Feb/2000), master's at condensed matter physics from Universidade Federal de Alagoas (Feb/2002) and Ph.D. at Physic from Universidade de São Paulo (Feb/2006). Currently he is professor associado IV at the Universidade Federal de Alagoas. He has expertises in the physics area, focusing on optical and spectroscopical properties of materials, acting mainly in the following topics: optical spectroscopy; nonlinear optics; biophotonics; thermal, mechanical, and optical properties of materials; nanoscience and nanotechnology; fluorescence and thermal images; etc. He was coordinator of the Bachelor of Physical at the IF-UFALand director of the Institute of Physics at UFAL from April/1/2014 to June/30/2022.
