Leandro Araújo Fernandes

He holds a degree in Dentistry (2002), a Master's degree (2007) and a Doctorate (2010) in Periodontics from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP/Araçatuba). He is a member of the Research Group for the Prevention of Caries, Periodontal Disease and Malocclusions at the Faculty of Dentistry (FO) of the Federal University of Alfenas (UNIFAL/MG). He is currently Associate Professor IV of the FO at UNIFAL/MG, teaching the subjects of Integrated Clinic I and Surgery, Facial and Oral Trauma at the undergraduate level. He is Deputy Extension Coordinator of the FO at UNIFAL/MG and Professor of the "Stricto Sensu" Postgraduate Program in Dental Sciences (Academic Master's Degree) in the areas of Periodontics/Epidemiology of oral diseases at the FO at UNIFAL/MG, teaching the subjects of Teaching Internship I and II and Adult and Elderly Oral Health. He has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Dentistry with an emphasis on Periodontics, working mainly in the areas of Periodontal Treatment, Lasers in Dentistry and Social and Preventive Dentistry.
