Graduated in Forest from the University of São Paulo (USP), with a master's and doctorate in Forest Resources from the same institution. Completed postdoctoral research at the São Paulo State University (UNESP) in 2015 and at USP in 2017. Works in the coordination of collaborative and cooperative projects between academia and the business sector. Since 2008, has been the coordinator of the Cooperative Forest Breeding Program at the Institute of Forest Research and Studies (IPEF). His specialization focuses on classical genetic improvement of eucalyptus, overseeing a program covering 30 species of the Eucalyptus and Corymbia genera, with more than 200 experiments established in different environmental conditions. This program supports the execution of various projects related to genetic improvement.He was a researcher affiliated with ESALQ/USP from 2020 to 2024 and a professor in the graduate program in Forest Science at FCA-UNESP. Currently, he is affiliated with the graduate programs in Forest Resources at ESALQ-USP and Forest Sciences at the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT). He is a CNPq productivity fellow.Additionally, he served as editor-in-chief of the journal Scientia Forestalis from 2019 to 2021 and taught undergraduate courses at FCA-UNESP in 2018, including Plant Breeding Methods and Forest Species Breeding. He is a member of the editorial boards of Scientia Forestalis and Tree Genetics Genomes, as well as a regional board member for the state of São Paulo in the Brazilian Society of Plant Breeding.
