Graduated in Biological Sciences from Mackenzie University (1998), master's degree (2003) and doctorate (2007) in Molecular Biology at the Federal University of São Paulo - UNIFESP and at the Laboratory of Biochemistry and Biophysics - Instituto Butantan. Post-doctorate in the same laboratory (2008 - 2012). Currently works as a researcher at the Laboratory of Parasitology - Instituto Butantan, studying toxins derived from secretions and glands of ticks, argasidae/ixodidae. She initiated studies related to the paralyzing activity of the tick Ornithodoros brasiliensis and modulating activity of the lame fluid, saliva and extract of the tick salivary gland on bacterial growth. She has experience in biochemistry; tick biology, collection and maintenance of ticks in laboratory conditions, bioprospecting of therapeutic targets, including coagulation and cancer.
