Ana Cristina Ferreira

Master (1998) and Doctor (2003) in Education from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), both in the area of #8203;#8203;concentration: Mathematical Education. I have been working in Higher Education since 2003, taking courses in Mathematics and Pedagogy. I am a currently Full Professor at the Department of Mathematical Education at the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP). In addition to activities related to teaching in Higher Education, I was a tutor at PETMAT (PET Group of the Mathematics course at UFOP) for six years (2007 to 2013). I coordinated the Mathematics Course at UFOP between 2005 and 2007. I also coordinated the SBEM GT7 (Formation of teachers teaching Mathematics) from 2013 to 2015. I coordinated the Professional Masters in Mathematics Education at UFOP between 2009 and 2012 and from 2016 to 2018. I am a permanent professor in the Graduate Programs in Mathematics Education (ProfessionalMaster's) and in Education (academic Master's and Doctorate) both at UFOP. I am a member of the following Groups: HIFEM (History and Philosophy of Mathematical Education at UNICAMP) and NIEPEM (Interdisciplinary Center for Studies and Research in Mathematical Education at UFOP). I have participated in Seminars of the Research Group Investigación y formación didáctica, coordinated by Professor Salvador Llinares (Universidad de Alicante) since 2017. I am a reviewer for national and international magazines. Isupervise the Ph.D., the Masters, and Specialization courses. I also supervise Undergraduate thesis, and Scientific Initiation assignments. I develop research in the areas of training and professional development of Mathematics teachers, Mathematical knowledge for teaching, History of Mathematical Education, and Pedagogical Practice of Mathematics.
