Valdo Rodrigues Herling

Coming from a family of 11 brothers, made #8203;#8203;his studies in public schools, from primary through high school. In August 1976 he joined the teaching of 3rd Degree, majoring in Animal Science from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho, Jaboticabal in July 1980, with the defense of his graduate work under the guidance of Professor Mary Jane Bertocco Ezequiel effects from the use of artificial milk in weaning of calves of Jersey breed. His studies at the Graduate began the Masters in Animal Nutrition from the University of São Paulo, Campus of Pirassununga in August 1983 with the defense of Master's Thesis in March 1987. The Doctor began in March 1990 in Animal Production from the University Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho, Jaboticabal, and the defense of the PhD thesis held in March 1995. On September 21, 2006 defended his free-Teaching at the University of São Paulo College of Animal Science and Food Engineering - FZEA / USP, and is currently Associate Professor in the area of #8203;#8203;Forage and Pasture. Has experience in the field of Animal Science, with emphasis on evaluation, Forage Production and Conservation, acting on the following topics: pasture, grazing, flow tissues, and species of fodder plants. Guides in Undergraduate and Postgraduate - Masters and Doctorate. Conducts his research in a glasshouse, field plots under mechanical cutting and grazing plots, either with sheep in an area of #8203;#8203;2.5 ha, with good infrastructure (24 pens and two sheds for supplementation) and area of 25 ha with 80 paddocks with excellent infrastructure for conducting experiments with cattle grazing.
