PhD in Nuclear Energy Technologies from the Federal University of Pernambuco (2001), I am an associate professor in the Department of Electronics and Systems at UFPE. She teaches undergraduate courses in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering and Biomedical Engineering, in addition to participating in the Postgraduate Program in Biomedical Engineering. With research experience at the intersection of Systems Engineering and Biomedical, I focus on cardiovascular system data analysis, spectral analysis in cardiac and neural signal recordings, decision theory in medicine, medical image quality analysis, and clinical engineering. My postdoctoral studies were carried out at INCOR and at the Instituto Israelita de Ensino e Pesquisa do Hospital Albert Einstein, both in São Paulo. Furthermore, she collaborates with extension activities in the Clinical Engineering sector at HC-UFPE. My research work is carried out in several laboratories at UFPE, including the Multidisciplinary Engineering Laboratory, Human-Machine Interface Laboratory (LIHOM) and Scientific Laboratory of Electromedical Metrology (LABCEM).
