He holds a degree in Economic Sciences from the State University of Campinas (1996), a Master's in Economic History from the State University of Campinas (1999) and a PhD in History and Archeology of the Ancient Worlds from the Université de Paris 10, Nanterre (2008). He is currently a tenured professor at the Université de Haute-Alsace, Mulhouse (France) and a collaborating professor at the department of history at Unicamp (IFCH). He has experience in the area of History, with an emphasis on Classical Studies, working mainly on the following subjects: Poseidonia-Paestum, archaeological excavation, archeology, Greek colonization in the West, economic history and frontier, urban history.
