Mariana Jabur graduated in Psychology in 2004 from the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences, and Letters at the University of São Paulo (FFCLRP-USP). She completed her strictu sensu master's degree in 2008 at the same university, focusing on Developmental Psychology, Early Childhood Education, and the Cultures and Sociology of Childhood.Throughout her 20-year career, she has dedicated significant time to implementing innovative projects in the social field, seeking to link practice with academic content production. She has worked in public policies related to social assistance, housing, and income generation, focusing on supporting families at risk and in situations of social vulnerability.In 2010, she worked at the NGO Associação Lua Nova in Sorocaba/SP, where she gained experience in drug policy at an international level. During this period, she served as the Executive Coordinator of the Integrated Actions Project, funded by the National Secretariat for Drug Policies of the Ministry of Justice. She participated in the organization and execution of the International Experts Seminar - Drug Policies: Time to Act, held in Brasília/DF in 2011, bringing together key actors in drug policy and action.From that moment on, she began participating in training processes in the Community Treatment methodology. She has provided training in Costa Rica in partnership with the Instituto Empodera, where she continues to contribute to this day.In the state of Ceará, where she lived for five years, she worked in the Digital Territories Program of the State Secretariat for Agrarian Development, combining community-based processes with territorial development at the state level. She held the position of SUAS Management Technician in the municipality of Russas/CE, where she implemented Social Assistance Surveillance, earning the municipality the SUAS CONGEMAS Management Award in the "Innovation in Management for Medium-Sized Municipalities" category. Also in Ceará, she taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Pedagogy.Since 2019, she has been coordinating the Institutional Shelter Service for Children and Adolescents in Urubici/SC and the Family Foster Care Service, which she was responsible for implementing in 2021. This initiative aligns with the Family and Community Living Movement, advocating for alternatives to childhood institutionalization. Throughout this process, scientific articles have been published on the transition between different shelter modalities.She is currently part of the team of specialists in Line 2.4 of the Cooperation Program between Latin America, the Caribbean, and the European Union on Drug Policy (COPOLAD). She is responsible for developing the Guide for Implementing Territorialization Projects for Actions with Vulnerable Populations in Drug Policies, specifically focusing on Jamaica.In Urubici/SC, alongside the local team implementing COPOLAD, she has been leading a project addressing the significant increase in violence, alcohol, and other drug use across various territories, as well as the lack of tools and methodologies for frontline professionals. The project has already trained 14 women as housekeepers, expanding income-generating opportunities within vulnerable territories.
