I have a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Sergipe (1995), a master's degree in Food Engineering from the State University of Campinas (1997) and a PhD in Food Engineering from the State University of Campinas (2002). I took a refresher course in Chemical Engineering at the Universität Karlsruhe in Germany. I completed a postdoctoral internship at the University of Aveiro, Portugal and at the Technische Universität Wien, Austria. I currently work as a visiting professor at the Federal University of Bahia. I have experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Separation Processes, Bioprocesses (Biotechnology), working mainly on the following topics: extraction, separation, purification, fermentation, enzymology, microbiology with water and food analysis.
