Flavio Eduardo da Cruz

Flavio is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and he holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade de São Paulo (2010). Flavio has a strong knowledge in applied thermodynamics as well as relevant research in process simulation and optimization, focused on both energy savings and enhance of productivity of chemical processes using exergetic analysis and thermoeconomics. He also has work experience in an engineering consulting company, where he has participated/contributed to several projects in a broad set of industries such as oil and gas, thermoelectric power plants, ethanol and sugar plants, mining and fertilizers.
