Graduated in Social Communication from the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (1978), master's degree in Social Anthropology from the State University of Campinas (1994) and doctorate in Social Sciences from the State University of Campinas (2000). She worked as an anthropologist at the National Indian Foundation from 2006 to 2018. Between 2013 and 2018 she was General Coordinator of the Linguistic Revitalization Project for Indigenous Peoples in the State of São Paulo, a partnership between FUNAI and the NGO Kamuri and the Indiomas IEL / Unicamp Research Group. As an anthropologist, she has long experience with Kaingang, one of the Jê Southern peoples and also with the Guarani acting mainly with indigenous school education, indigenous peoples, cosmology and rituals.
