Full Professor of the Department of Pathology at the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA) and, currently, Vice-Dean of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Research, Postgraduate Studies and Internationalization (AGEUFMA) at UFMA. She holds a degree in Biological Sciences from UFMA (1992) and a PhD in Immunology from the University of São Paulo (2001), under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Momtchilo Russo. She was a member of the Deliberative Council of the Brazilian Society of Immunology, Director of the UFMA Central Animal Facility, editor-in-chief of the Revista de Ciências da Saúde, coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Health Sciences at UFMA and Director of Postgraduate Studies at UFMA. She participates in the CAPES Postgraduate Assessment Committee, in the area of #8203;#8203;Medicine I. She is a permanent professor at the Postgraduate Program in Health Sciences (UFMA). To date, she has published 150 works in indexed journals and supervised 42 undergraduate monographs, 34 master's dissertations and 24 doctoral theses. Supervised 1 postdoctoral fellow. Develops scientific projects on the study of the immunomodulatory activity of natural products, focusing on anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor and anti-parasitic actions (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
