Dr. Amato Neto is a Full Professor and former Head of the Production Engineering Department, Polytechnic School, University of São Paulo (POLI-USP), where he coordinates a research group on Cooperation Networks and Knowledge Management (REDECOOP). He is also the President of Vanzolini Foundation and an invited professor of MBA's at Business Institute Foundation (from Economics and Administration School, FEA-USP). He was a visiting researcher at the Laboratorium für Werkzeugmaschinen und Betriebslehre (WZL), Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH), University of Aachen (Germany). He was a visiting professor at the International Master in Industrial Management (by the European Commission), at Politecnico di Milano (Italy). Amato Neto has a Postdoctorate in Economics and Management from Ca' Foscari University of Venezia (Italy). He has presented his researches in many countries, as United States, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Italy, France, United Kingdom, Portugal, Spain, Japan, Turkey, Scotland, Sweden, Mexico and Brazil, among others. His main research themes are: productive cooperation networks; networks and regional clusters; virtual organizations; small and medium enterprises (SME?s); aeronautic, automotive and semiconductors industries; technological innovation; supply chain management; industrial organization; sustainability through value chains.
